"Kids do not feel sad for losing, they feel sad when they think the coach doesn't love or appreciate them." - Pep Guardiola
I'm a young, energetic and fully qualified coach who can turn a soccer program into a unique selling point for any sports club or sports camp. I have been involved in the game for the past five years and have had the pleasure of working for over half a dozen programs across three continents. Currently a foundation phase coach at Hale United JFC, I will be taking on the role of soccer director for Camp Micah, a premier residential camp in Maine, starting June 2017.
Having started coaching at an incredibly young age and spent the first two years of my career under some of the best coaches of the game, I consider coaching young footballers as something more interpersonal rather than technical. I believe the key to a successful program is to empathize with young people and create an environment where they feel valued and welcomed. A good coach, in my opinion, is not necessarily someone with the best technical knowledge but someone with the right values and portray themselves as approachable, caring and empathic.
My experience is complemented by the range of qualifications I hold. I was the youngest coach in my class to be awarded the USSF National 'E' License in November 2015. I currently sit the FA Level 2 / UEFA 'C' License, while also hold FA Psychology and Talent ID awards.
If you are looking for a coach to add that little extra energy and passion into your program, or simply want a breath of fresh air, please get in touch with me via LinkedIn or through the Contact Me option on my website.
